Dermalogica multivitamin power recovery mask

written by Melain September 4, 2018
Dermalogica multivitamin power recovery mask

I often find long days on set to really take their toll on my skin. Reason being, I don’t often wear a lot of makeup, so the makeup along with the constant touch-ups leave it feeling in need of some TLC and I always look so forward to getting home and giving my face a good cleanse and popping on a nice hydrating mask.

One of my faves being the Dermalogica multivitamin power recovery mask, I absolutely love this goodie!

It’s a divine mask and not only does it not contain any artificial fragrances and colors, it’s filled with many powerful concentrated vitamins such as A, C, E and F and botanical extracts.

Vitamin A helps skin recover by increasing elasticity and moisture content while antioxidant vitamin C aids in collagen synthesis and shields the skin from free radicals. Vitamin E, F and pro-vitamin B5 help nourish damaged skin and promote healthy tissue regeneration, while botanical extracts of Licorice, Comfrey and Burdock soothe, calm and help decrease sensitivity. Nutrient-rich Algae Extract helps moisturize and soften skin.

This is a great mask to use whenever your skin feels a little dull and in need of some TLC or as part of your ongoing skincare routine.

My best times being after a long day on set, a week or so after a Dermapen treatment/peel, when traveling or when my skin is just feeling parched and in need of some moisture, especially during the winter months.

Behind the scenes. All made up and ready to go on a recent shoot.

After a good cleanse I slather a generous amount of mask all over my face, avoiding the eye area and leave for about 20-30 mins, the directions say 10-15 mins but I like to go a little longer.

Tip: Rub any excess left on your fingers tips, on the tops of your hands, instead of rinsing off. Your hands need love too 🙂

The mask starts off a pale yellow colour but goes a brighter yellow after a while on your skin and you don’t look your most attractive, sorry guys and girls, no cute mask selfies with this one.

Once I’m ready to take it off, I give my face a good rinsing and wipe down with a nice warm face cloth to thoroughly remove it all.

And voila, my skin is left feeling radiant and revitalized!

This mask gets a super thumbs up from me! A 5-star mask indeed! x
