I was invited about a month ago to try out a Vita Liberata spray tan. Now those of you who know me, know that I am VERY pale! Almost see-through haha. Nah, I’m not that bad… So an invitation for some colour was very welcome!
This was the second time that I’ve experienced a full body spray tan. The last time I wasn’t too impressed as the tan started to go patchy in areas and I felt a little on the Trump side. So, when Vita Liberata contacted me I was quite keen to have another go. They sent me a great little info pack and after reading up on all the info, I was super keen to experience this product for myself.
I arrived ready for my appointment, having followed the pre-tan instructions to a T. I shaved 24 hours before, did a full body exfoliation with bicarb on the morning and didn’t apply any moisturizer before my appointment.
The process was a fairly easy one, I stood in the small portable tent in my sexy disposable undies and hair net, while Mylene applied cream on my dryer bits, elbows, knees and the backs of my ankles etc. She then proceeded to spray me down. This was a tad on the chilly side, being winter but she did warm up the room before, so it wasn’t too bad.

The tent
Once the spray was done, I let it settle and dry for a few minutes and then popped my dress back on, easy peasy, no long wait. I did make a small boo-boo though, I put my bra on, which left weird markings later, def won’t do this next time.
They advise that you don’t shower for at least 8 hours after your tan but I left mine to settle overnight and didn’t shower until the next morning.
Initially, I felt quite dark, and my face looked like I had been dirt bike riding, leaving my kids quite shocked at their new brown mama but once I showered off the excess, the tan gave a lovely golden glow which lasted for about 10 days! It’s amazing how a bit of colour suddenly makes everything feel and look a little perkier! Love!

Before, straight after and the next day!

How much do we love tan lines?

Bumped into Marc Lottering on my way to Durbs the day after my second tan! Notice the natural glow, no orange vibes here

The day after. Look at them brown legs.
What I love:
There are absolutely no baddies in this tan:
Vita Liberata is organic, completely non-toxic and free from parabens, alcohol, perfume and other chemicals of concern.
Neutral smell:
The product contains odor remove™ technology, so no icky smell! While the product does have a slight smell, it’s not bad at all and is very subtle. Nobody will be able to sniff you out. Your secret is safe đŸ˜‰
Natural colour:
The colour is amazingly natural and gives a natural sun-kissed glow. It also faded beautifully with no patchy bits. Pity I wasn’t able to show my tan off as it has been hidden under layers in the CT cold.
I did however pop in for a second tan before my trip to Durban two weekends back and had the pleasure of showing it off in the 25-degree heat. Win!
Moisture lock:
The product conditions and nourishes the skin with its unique 72-hour moisture Lock™, ensuring you don’t end up with crocodile skin and aids in a natural even fade.
My final verdict:
I am so excited to have found this product! I LOVE it and will be putting some of their retail products to the test on my upcoming family vacay in the UK!
If you’re keen to experience a spray tan or purchase any of their retail products take a look at their website for a list of stockists and service providers.
