Dermalogica – new store, new look and my facial experience

Last week Wednesday I popped in at The Dermalogica concept store at Tyger Valley Mall for a ProSkin 60 facial. If you’re reading this and thinking, but there’s no Dermalogica store at Tyger Valley Mall, oh yes there is, this is a brand new concept store and if you follow me on social media you would have seen that I attended their launch just a little over 2 weeks ago.

This was a very exciting launch as not only was it the opening of a brand new concept store but also the unveiling of a whole new look! It’s out with the cold, clinical feel and in with a warm, sophisticated look and it’s just stunning.

Now back to my facial, I have never had a facial at Dermalogica before and to be honest, was a little clueless on the various offerings. I mean I knew about the facial mapping but absolutely nothing about their facials, which after having one can honestly say are amazing!

Do you know that Dermalogica offers 3 different facial options? These being based on time and tailored around your specific needs.

Let me run you through them quickly:

The FaceLift – 10 Mins – R115.00

This is a 10-minute treatment, great for a quick boost, before a special event.

The ProSkin 30 – 30 mins – R315.00

This 30 minute, customised skin treatment is aimed at addressing your immediate skin needs and concerns and is ideal for people who want special attention but are on a tight schedule. You will achieve visible results for great value in just 30 mins. Working mamas, this one’s right up your alley.

The ProSkin 60 – 60 mins – R625.00

This is the one that I had and is the creme dela creme of the lot, different every time based on your immediate and long-term skin needs and concerns. Customised with advanced products, techniques and technology in a soothing environment made for relaxation. This is the ideal choice for those wanting a more comprehensive experience addressing all skin concerns, to achieve a healthy glowing skin.

If you have some time on your hands and looking at killing two birds with one stone, a relaxing pamper sesh while sorting out your skin, do book in for one of these. You will leave feeling refreshed and maybe a little dozy with a glowy healthy skin. This would make for an ideal gift for mom!

I thoroughly enjoyed my treatment. Not only was I pampered to the max but after my treatment, I was given a full treatment plan (my skin fitness plan) which included samples specifically tailored to my needs, how cool? They really have paid attention to the finer details and though they may seem insignificant, I really feel that the finer details are just so important and can make or break an experience.

The Dermalogica ProSkin facial gets a super thumbs up from me and I can 100% say that I will most definitely be back for more!
