It’s been busy past few months, with season starting off with a bang, #momlife and life in general hence I haven’t had much time to write and therefore the lack of posts here.
Anyways I’ve been meaning to get to this post for a while now just cause the experience was amazing, and one worth sharing. And as the saying goes, rather late than never, ey?
A little over a month ago (yes, long overdue) the hubs and I checked out the Jazz Brunch at The Winchester Mansions Hotel in Sea Point, it was a real treat and is a lovely idea to celebrate a special occasion. Although it’s not something you can decide to do on a whim as they tend to get booked up well in advance, so do make sure to book well before your intended date. We learnt this by trial and error, as we originally tried to book in November a week before our 1st wedding anniversary but alas it was fully booked so we opted to take a rain check for our and their next availability and I’m so glad we did, it was well worth the wait and definitely a must if you live in or ever visit Cape Town.

We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of bubbly and the Sunday paper (we requested the paper) into the most beautiful courtyard. The courtyard is a peaceful and relaxing setting with the sound of easy listening, classic Jazz in the background. I felt like I had been whisked away to a little Mediterranean town. The fountain was unfortunately not operational at the time of our visit but I can imagine this to add that little extra to the already tranquil setting.
The brunch buffet is a massive spread consisting of a variety of foods, from traditional English breakfast, sushi and roast beef to delicious pastries and desserts. Be sure to go hungry.
